"A STUDENT EMPLOYMENT WITH ADDED REWARDS PROGRAM"

Awards

The “Paying Student Employment!” Program "Is an amount paid to the employee to help pay part of the costs related to his education.

The amount (less regular withholding taxes) is allocated as follows:

  1. If the employee works 2 seasons, he receives a sum of $ 300
  2. If the employee works 3 seasons, he receives a sum of $ 400
  3. If the employee works 4 seasons or more, he receives a maximum amount of $ 500 per year

    Eligibility conditions

    • The Program is open to all student employees of GAGNON - La Grande Quincaillerie.
    • The employee must have accumulated one year of service from the date of hire or two full seasons in one of our branches
    • The employee must have worked a minimum of 200 hours between the months of April and August
    • The employee must be enrolled in a professional, college or university program that leads to a diploma from a recognized educational institution
    • The employee must meet the performance requirements (attitude, performance, absenteeism, etc.)

    SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

    Awards

    The Scholarship Program is a check given to an employee to reimburse the amount of his or her tuition fees.

    The amount is allocated as follows:

    For student employees:

    1. If the employee is enrolled in a professional or college program, he will receive a scholarship of up to $ 500;
    2. If the employee is enrolled in a university program, he will receive a scholarship of up to $ 1,000;

    For children of employees :

    1. If the employee's child is enrolled in a vocational or college program, he will receive a scholarship of up to $ 500;
    2. If the employee's child is enrolled in a university program, he/she will receive a scholarship of up to $ 1,000;

    Eligibility conditions

    The Scholarship Program is open to all student employees of GAGNON - La Grande Quincaillerie as well as to the children of employees.

    Eligibility conditions for student employees:

    • The employee must have accumulated one year of service from the date of hire in one of our branches.
    • The employee must have worked a minimum of 480 hours during the year or have completed two seasons in one of our branches.
    • The employee must be enrolled in a professional, college or university program that leads to a diploma from a recognized educational institution.
    • The employee must meet the performance requirements (attitude, performance, absenteeism, etc.)

    Eligibility conditions for children of employees:

    • The employee must have accumulated one year of service from the date of hire in one of our branches.
    • The employee must have worked a minimum of 1080 hours during the year.
    • The employee's child must be enrolled in a professional, college or university program that leads to a degree from a recognized educational institution.
    • The employee must meet the performance requirements (attitude, performance, absenteeism, etc.)
